Jakarta, (Kominfo-Newsroom)�Megapolitan, the concept of which is to unite spatial layout of Jakarta and its supporting areas like Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Cianjur (Jabodetabekjur) and was introduced by the Jakarta Government, will come true in the moment.
�The discussion about megapolitan almost comes to an end. All we have to do is waiting for the approval of Mr. President,� said Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo here Friday (29/2).
According to him, all of the supporting areas� leaders have agreed with the megapolitan concept. Likewise, Coordinating Minister for Economy also agreed with the concept.
�Coordinating Minister for Economy�s just asked the final data concerning the megapolitan. He asked whether or not the concept needs revision before being approved by the President,� he said.
Bowo stated his assurance that the Presidential Regulation upon the megapolitan will be issued within two or three months. �I�m sure that the Presidential Regulation will be issued within 2 or 3 months,� he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works, Djoko Kirmanto also stated that the draft of megapolitan concept is already complete; it only has to be approved by the President.
According to Kirmanto, the Presidential Regulation is very important since it regulates spatial layout. Therefore the megapolitan project should be executed simultaneously in order to avoid risks like flood. (www.dki Jakarta.go.id/t.nw/toeb/kho)
